It's a pleasure to advertise a forthcoming course "Methods of Industrial Mathematics" by Prof. John Curtis of AWE plc. and University College London, organised by Heiko Gimperlein from Heriot-Watt University.
The purpose of this course is to discuss applications of modeling and numerical mathematics in industrial problems. As the aim is to showcase maths in applications, it should be accessible and of interest to PhD students from a wide range of backgrounds.
See the attached description for further information.
The course is supported by MIGSAA and the EPSRC grant at HW to support industrial placement opportunities for PhD students.
It is going to take place at ICMS in the Bayes Centre, room 5.02.
